At Fairwarp East Sussex nestled on the Ashdown Forest a fabulous birthday cake was needed to celebrate a very fun and funky lady celebrating her 80th birthday.

The party was held in a marquee in the family’s garden in East Sussex with lots of champagne and frivolity!

The cake was to be in hot pink and zesty lime colours depicting presents and flowers.

The vanilla sponges were extra deep and were full of fluffy vanilla buttercream and strawberry conserve and covered in a delicious soft vanilla fondant.

The vibrant summery colours and the added ribbons for the parcel effect made this a very pretty  birthday cake which was loved by all.

The birthday cake had pride of place next to the Champagne!

The satin gingham ribbon and the handmade fondant gift tag along with the pretty daisies set off the birthday theme!

A great day was had by all and the cake disappeared as the day went on!

There is nothing more fun than the whole family celebrating a fabulous birthday with a  delicious cake and Champagne, my kind of day!
